Along the north west coast of the island, in a wide bay, only 15 km from Krk bridge, lies Malinska. Known once upon a time as a safe haven for shipping, today it is a well-known tourist spot that preserves its own fishing and seafaring tradition.

The mill, mlin, from which Malinska got its name, is no more, but in its place today is one of the numerous hotels. Hotels of various categories stretch along the wooded bay, together with villas,

pensions, flats and camping sites that are comfortable enough to answer the requirements of any guest. In an enviroment of luxuriant vegetation and clear blue sea, with its exceptionally mild Mediterranean climate, and more then 2200 hours of sunshine a year, Malinska is attractive at all seasons of the year.

And this is confirmed by the hundred year tradition of the tourist industry. The well aranged and equipped sunbathing places, the pools, pebble and sand beaches not far from the hotels or in the sheltered bays will give everyone plenty to choose from. For some, revelling in the sun from early in the morning till late afternoon, for others enjoyment in the shade, on their own, gaze wandering over the blue distances.

The sea, with the summer temperature of from 21 to 26°C,

is an invitation not only to swimming, but to diving below the surface and discovering in the depths the mysterious world where silence is queen.

Tennis, bowling, mini-golf and recreational facilities to satisfy the needs of every guest for an active holiday, whether young or old.
